Hello! Booker, After I have been sinking in Dunne's family lately, now I'm back to the real world! Every time I read, I always sink into the story, like I was a part of it. Gone girl got me sinking, too, and I really want to find out what the truth is! This story was told by 2 narrators which are Nick and Amy. The story they told is from the beginning to the end, but there's a little different between 'the story' and 'the truth', right? Actually, there's always be one person in the story who always solve the mystery for the reader, in usual mystery fiction, but for Gone Girl, you have to solve the mystery by yourself! It forces you to believe neither Amy nor Nick and you'll never know which one is the story they make up to just fool you! " I was told love should be unconditional. That's the rule everyone says so. But if love has no boundaries, no limits, no conditions, why should anyone try to do the right thing ever?" This book makes me realized that in my real life, I heard so many many stories, but how'd I suppose to know that what they told is the truth or what would I suppose to believe?! I literally realized that everybody wants to be told only what they want they believe. Sometimes, people who tell you this or that or whatever, they might know you better than you know yourself! If you still don't know what I am trying to tell you, Gone girl will help you understand it easier! Moreover, Flynn and Amy makes me re-think about the status that I'm wearing. What status or role that I am playing, and am I be myself? (Or have I ever be myself?) We always be what other people want us to be (pretend to be, probably!) And if you never ever think about what people force you to be, who will be the truly real you now? Finally, the answer that I want to find out from this book is not the point that who's missing or where is that one missing? But the real answer I want is about finding who I truly am and what's inside of me apart from what people force me to be. This is the real mystery that detector like you have to find out! Hope you guys find your(true)self as well, detector-reader! "Unconditional love is an undisciplined love, and as we all have seen, undisciplined love is disastrous." Plot : 5/5
